Join the Connecticut Fitness Alliance to fight for fitness and have your voice heard.

 

Alliance dues are not deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes.

The corporation will have four classes of members but only two classes of voting members.

Voting Memberships.

 

Large/Multi-Site
(Class A)

Connecticut health and fitness clubs/studios, including management and other companies that operate such clubs, with annual revenues over $3 million, who apply for Membership, agree to the membership pledge, pay and are current on their dues and whose membership application is accepted by the board of directors.

Medium
(Class A)

Connecticut health and fitness clubs/studios, including management and other companies that operate such clubs, with annual revenues of $1-3 million, who apply for Membership, agree to the membership pledge, pay and are current on their dues and whose membership application is accepted by the board of directors.

Small
(Class B)

Individual, corporation or other entity intending to develop such a business or related facility, with annual revenues under $750,000, who apply for Membership, agree to the membership pledge, pay and are current on their dues and whose membership application is accepted by the board of directors.

 

Non-Voting Memberships.

 

Partner
(Class C)

Vendors, consultants and other participants in the industry who apply for and are granted membership by the board of directors. Class C Members agree to the membership pledge, pay and are current on their dues and whose membership application is accepted by the board of directors.

Supporter
(Class D)

Neither Class A, B or C Members, but are persons whom (1) wish to support the corporation financially by making a monetary contribution to the corporation, (2) provide express support of the corporation's public policy positions or (3) desire to show support for the corporation in some other way and register on the corporation's website. Class C members have no rights in the corporation and may not participate in any way in the governance or policy making of the corporation. Class D members may include, but are not limited to, members or patrons of a Member organization. Email for consideration and/or further information.
